MALANG - On October 10, 2024, the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang (UIN Malang) invited the guardians of the 2019 and 2018 batch students. This activity took place in the North Audit Lt.4 for three hours, attended by hundreds of student guardians, aiming to mitigate problematic students.

We sent 260 invitations through Pos Indonesia and thank God 80% could attend this activity. FST UIN Malang is determined to help all students to graduate on time. This is in line with what was expressed by the Dean of FST UIN Malang, Sri Harini, FST UIN Malang wholeheartedly in helping students complete their studies in each study program. "We hope for good cooperation in solving academic and non-academic problems," he said.
This activity was guided directly by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Anton Prasetyo, requesting that student guardians directly check their academic grades in their respective study programs. Anton also expressed his gratitude for their presence at FST UIN Malang. "This is a form of extraordinary commitment from the guardians of students in preventing dropouts," he concluded.
The student guardians were very enthusiastic in this activity. Masduki, one of the guardians of a 2018 student in the Informatics Engineering study program, Nisa Kholifatul Ummah, from Blitar, was very enthusiastic about participating in this activity. He hopes that with this activity his daughter can graduate as soon as possible.
In the final session, this activity was handed over to the head of each study program so that the discussion and questions and answers were more focused and well resolved. FST UIN Malang wants student guardians, after this activity, to be able to take accelerated steps to graduate immediately. (sbr)
