FST UIN Maliki Malang - (30/10/2025) The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang again showed its concern for the world of pesantren through the FST Peduli Pesantren program. A group of FST lecturers visited the Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jailani Besuki Situbondo Islamic Boarding School, which had just experienced the collapse of the women's dormitory.

This visit is not merely an expression of compassion, but part of the pesantren mentoring program which is an ongoing agenda of FST UIN Maliki to strengthen the campus-pesantren synergy. Through this program, FST seeks to present a real contribution of science and technology in supporting the development and resilience of the pesantren environment, starting from the management of infrastructure facilities, strengthening safety aspects, to the application of appropriate technology.

The Dean of FST expressed his deep sorrow for the disaster that befell the santriwati, while emphasizing the faculty's commitment to assistance. “We want to be present not only when we are happy, but also when our brothers and sisters at the pesantren face exams. This is where the spirit of collaboration between campus and pesantren is tested, and God willing, it will be strengthened.” he said.

The head of the pesantren expressed his appreciation for the concern of FST UIN Malang and hopes that this friendship will develop into a broader partnership in the fields of education, the environment, and the application of technology that is relevant to the needs of pesantren.

Through FST Peduli Pesantren, the Faculty of Science and Technology of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang emphasizes that knowledge does not stop in the laboratory, but also flows for humanity. From the pesantren, the values of sincerity and patience are strengthened; from the campus, the spirit of innovation and care is present.
