ICGT 2024 activities with the theme "Emerging Green Technology: A Path Towards Resilient and Sustainable Built Environment".

FST-UIN Malang (09/19/2024) - The Faculty of Science and Technology (Saintek) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang once again held The 13th International Conference on Green Technology (ICGT) with the theme Emerging Green Technology: A Path Towards Resilient and Sustainable Built Environment. The conference took place on 1-2 October 2024 and was led by the Architecture Study Program as the coordinator of the organizing committee.

ICGT 2024 is a prestigious event that presents academics, researchers, and practitioners from various countries. This activity began with various cultural performances such as Remo Dance and Candik Ayu Traditional Dance, followed by reading the Qur'an and singing the National Anthem "Indonesia Raya" and Mars UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The conference was officially opened by the Vice Rector of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.

The first day of the conference featured a number of prominent keynote speakers, including:

  • Assoc. Prof. LAr. Dr. Nor Atiah Ismail from Universiti Putra Malaysia.
  • Prof. Dr. Boriana Mihailova from Universität Hamburg, Germany.
  • Dr.Eng. Arie Dipareza Syafei from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), Surabaya.

The second day of the conference continued with presentations from:

  • Ir. Agung Murti Nugroho, Ph.D. from Brawijaya University, Malang.
  • Asst. Prof. Sunaree Lawanyawatna from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Thailand.
  • Dr. Aulia Fikriarini Muchlis from UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.
  • Prof. Gunawan Prayitno, Ph.D. from Brawijaya University, Malang.

After the keynote presentations, the conference continued with discussion sessions and parallel sessions involving researchers and academics from various fields related to green technology and sustainable development. These sessions were held in a hybrid manner, both offline and online, providing opportunities for global participants to contribute.

The event concluded with announcements regarding full paper submissions and publication guidelines, as well as awards for the best presenters in four topics. The conference also expressed enthusiasm for the next event, ICGT 2025, which is expected to continue to be a platform for innovation in the field of green technology.
