The 13th International Conference on Green Technology 2023 with the theme "Strengthening the Impact of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) for Sustainable Future"

FST-UIN Malang (20/10/2023) The Faculty of Science and Technology of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang in 2023 organized the ICGT (International Conference on Green Technology) with the theme "Strengthening The Impact of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) for Sustainable Future". This ICGT conference activity is an annual activity organized by the Faculty with the aim of networking, collaboration, and productivity of scientific writing, especially for the Faculty and UIN Maualana Malik Ibrahim Malang community and society in general.

ICGT activities in 2023 were commanded by the Biology Study Program as the organizing committee with the implementation of activities during 17-18 October 2023. The event was held at Ijen Suites Resort & Convention Malang, East Java. ICGT this time invited 5 keynote speakers who are quite famous and are experts in their respective scientific fields, as well as 3 invited speakers, where both keynote speakers and invited speakers are divided into 2 sessions on the first and second day. The first day of the event was filled by keynote speakers Prof. Kunifumi Tagawa (Hirosima University Japan), Prof. Toshifumi Sakaguchi (Prefectual University of Hiroshima Japan), Dr. Veinardi Suendo, S.Si., M.Eng. (Bandung Institute of Technology Indonesia). While on the second day the event was filled by Prof. Dr. Azhar bin Ariffin (University Malaya Malaysia), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Varit Srilaong (King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi), besides that on the 2nd day the event was also filled by 3 invited speakers from the internal UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, including Prof. Dr. Bayyinatul Mucharomah, M.Si, Eriyanto Yusnawan, Ph.D and Dr. Fachr Kurniawanul, M.MT, IPM.

Parallel sessions were held after each break with a total of 2 sessions starting on day 1 and day 2. Presentations in this parallel session are carried out offline and online using zoom meetings. In its implementation, the presentation is divided into 2 rooms offline with each room having a moderator and operator. Meanwhile, online presentations are divided into 7 zoom rooms accompanied by moderators and operators in each virtual room. It can be said that the themes of the participants submitted are very interesting and updated in accordance with the scientific developments in each sub-discipline of study and there are active question and answer sessions between participants. Overall, the presentation process in parallel sessions both offline and online ran quite well and smoothly. The results of the participants' papers presented at ICGT will go through several selection processes and will then be published in the IOP Conference Series. (Niz)
