Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the BJ Habibie Building Auditorium, Faculty of Science and Technology, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang, the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Malang and UB Library in the Field of Education, research and Community Service.
The Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Malang, Dr. Sri Harini, accompanied by Vice Dean III for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Dwi Suheriyanto, in his remarks was very enthusiastic and fully supported this collaboration considering that historically the Faculty of Science and Technology has a very close relationship with Brawijaya University, Prof. Sutiman B. Sumitro who is a UB Professor was the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology in the early days. Sumitro who is a Professor of UB was the Dean of 2 Periods at the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Malang in the early days. Likewise, very many alumni of Brawijaya University are currently staff and teaching staff at FST UIN Malang. "So our relationship with UB is like parents with their children, we should be the ones who visit the UB Campus in this case", said Dean Dr. Sri Harini. He added that the Faculty of Science and Technology has a Library Study Program which is in fact still new, it is hoped that this collaboration can be the beginning of a mutually beneficial collaboration for both parties, both academically or institutionally.

Head of UB Library, Dr. Iwan Permadi, SH. M.Hum, along with his entourage, on the same occasion said that currently UB Library is ranked 1st for total document repository at RAMA Kemendikbud RI nationally, has many academic development opportunities such as seminars, access to international journals, Research, Outdoor Library, SNI Corner etc., which is the flagship program of UB Library. The existence of legal institutional ties such as a Cooperation Agreement like this will further increase opportunities to share benefits for both institutions.
