Malang - The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang organized Forsiasa activities (23/1). This activity took place at the 4th floor Auditorium and was attended by all academicians of FST UIN Malang. The forum aims to strengthen friendship and togetherness between the academic community of FST UIN Malang. This activity, which is chaired by the Biology study program, has a theme of The E-KTP for Species Controversy: A Case Study of the Application of DNA Barcoding in Species Identification.

The material was delivered by Abdul Basith and M. Muchlis Fahruddin, both Biology lecturers. They presented an overview of the concept of DNA barcoding, which is often analogized as an “e-KTP” for species, and explained various views and issues that have developed regarding its application. The presentation of the material was done in a communicative and light manner to be easily understood by all participants.

The theme aimed to share perspectives and spark participants' interest in science issues that are close to life, without having to get into too technical discussions. The activity was guided by Didik Wahyudi, the atmosphere of the forum remained warm and fluid. Through Forsiasa, FST UIN Malang hopes that the family relationship between lecturers and students will get closer, and this gathering forum can continue to be a space for sharing and strengthening togetherness in the work environment.
