Faculty of Science and Technology receives visit from MAN 2 Malang

FST UIN Maliki Malang - (13/11/2025) The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang again opened a space for educational collaboration through student visits from MAN 2 Malang. The agenda, which was held at the 4th Floor Auditorium of FST at 13.00 WIB, was an opportunity for students to take a closer look at the atmosphere of lectures and the development of science in the campus environment.

The group was welcomed by the Vice Dean III for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Akyunul Jannah, M.Si. In his speech, he expressed his appreciation for this visit and emphasized the importance of early introduction to higher education. He explained that the Faculty of Science and Technology is one of the faculties that plays an important role in preparing young people who are able to compete in the fields of science, research and technology.

Dr. Akyunul Jannah also introduced in general the various study programs under FST. With a warm delivery style, she explained that each study program has its own scientific character and advantages that can be an attractive choice for students according to their interests and talents. She hoped that this visit could open students' insights about potential career and study opportunities in the future.

After the welcome session, the activity continued with material presentation from the heads of Physics, Mathematics, and Library Science study programs. In this session, each head of study program gave an in-depth explanation of the scope of knowledge studied in their study program, ranging from curriculum, laboratory activities, research opportunities, to job prospects for graduates in various industrial and academic sectors.

This activity not only aims to provide academic information, but also presents a direct experience for students to feel the atmosphere of learning in higher education. The interaction between students and lecturers is expected to motivate them to develop an interest in science and technology from an early age.

Through this visit, the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Malang hopes to create a closer relationship with MAN 2 Malang, as well as open up opportunities for educational collaboration in the future. With more and more students getting to know the campus world more closely, FST hopes to help encourage the birth of a superior, critical, and ready young generation to face the challenges of scientific development.
