FST UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang - (22/10/2025) The Informatics Engineering Study Program of the Faculty of Science and Technology held a guest lecture entitled “OBE Curriculum of Informatics Engineering UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang for Excellent and Competitive Graduates.” The event was held online at 13.00 WIB through the Zoom Meeting platform, presenting Dr. Oddy Virgantara Putra, S.Kom., M.T. from Universitas Darussalam Gontor (UNIDA) as a resource person. The activity was attended by study program leaders and Informatics Engineering lecturers and went smoothly and received good enthusiasm.

In his presentation, the resource person emphasized the urgency of implementing Outcome-Based Education (OBE) so that the curriculum is oriented towards clear, measurable, and relevant graduate learning outcomes with industry needs. Through the OBE approach, course design, learning methods, and assessment instruments are directed in line with the graduate profile, so that students have competitive academic competencies and professional skills.

The implementation of this guest lecture strengthens the commitment of the Informatics Engineering Study Program in building an adaptive and sustainable learning environment. It is hoped that this kind of collaboration between academics and practitioners will enrich the insights of the academic community as well as accelerate the implementation of the OBE-based curriculum to produce graduates who are ready to contribute to the world of work and society.
