FST UIN Maliki Malang - (30/10/2025) The Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, State Islamic University (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held an International Webinar with the theme “When Robots Start Thinking: The Power of Artificial Intelligence in Robotics” and “Electrifying the World with Power Electronics.” The activities were held online via Zoom Meeting on Friday, October 24, 2025, and Thursday, October 30, 2025.
This activity presented two international speakers, namely Dr. Dwi Pebrianti, Eng. Tech., SMIEEE, EPE (IPU) from International Islamic University Malaysia and Prof. Dr. Taufik from California Polytechnic State University. Both speakers discussed the latest technological developments in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, and power electronics that play an important role in the development of modern industry.
In her presentation, Dr. Dwi Pebrianti explained the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in robotic systems that can improve the efficiency and adaptability of machines in various sectors, such as industry, health, and transportation. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Taufik discussed the role of Power Electronics in realizing an efficient and sustainable energy system as part of the transition to environmentally friendly energy.
This webinar was attended by around 100 participants consisting of lecturers, education staff, and students of the Electrical Engineering Study Program. The activity went smoothly and ended with an active and interactive discussion session.
Chief Executive, Utari Sanaba, M.Tr.T, said that this activity was a means for students and lecturers to broaden their horizons and understand global technological developments. “We hope that activities like this can continue to be carried out by involving more participants and institutions,” she said.
Through this activity, the Electrical Engineering Study Program of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang seeks to strengthen international academic networks and improve student competence in the fields of artificial intelligence-based technology and sustainable energy. (Beautiful)
