Civil Engineering Study Program Holds OBE Curriculum Technical Discussion with Experts from UII

FST UIN Maliki Malang - (18/10/2025) The Civil Engineering Study Program of State Islamic University (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang continued a series of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curriculum Workshop activities, which this time focused on discussing the technical improvement of the curriculum. This activity was held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 08.00-12.00 WIB, located in the faculty courtroom, 1st floor.

As the main speaker, Mrs. Miftahul Fauziah, Ph.D., Head of the Civil Engineering Department of Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), who is known to have extensive experience in OBE-based curriculum development. In her presentation, she provided comprehensive technical directions related to curriculum design strategies that are able to answer the challenges of industry and workforce needs, while ensuring the achievement of competent graduate profiles.

This activity was attended by lecturers, education staff, and students of Civil Engineering UIN Malang as a representation of the main stakeholders. The presence of the student element also enriches the discussion, because it provides a direct user perspective on the designed curriculum design.

According to the committee, this activity aims to improve the OBE curriculum document that has been prepared since the establishment of the Civil Engineering Study Program. As a relatively new study program, Civil Engineering Study Program requires strengthening the curriculum to be in accordance with national and international higher education standards, as well as relevant to the needs of the times.

Through this technical discussion forum, participants gained new insights into the preparation of learning outcomes, curriculum maps, to implementation strategies and continuous evaluation. The hope is that the resulting curriculum is truly able to produce qualified, professional, and ready to compete at the national and global levels. (Beautiful)
