PSI UIN Malang Participates in MUNAS & Collegial Meeting of APTIPI 2025 at UNPAD

FST UIN Maliki Malang - (31/10/2025) The Library and Information Science (PSI) Study Program actively participated in the National Conference (MUNAS) and Collegial Meeting of the Indonesian Association of Higher Education Providers in Library Science (APTIPI) 2025 which was held at the Postgraduate Auditorium of Fikom Padjadjaran University (UNPAD) at 08.00-16.30 WIB. The agenda was attended by representatives of library and archives science study programs from various universities throughout Indonesia.

With the theme “The Development of Library Science, Information Science, and Archives in Indonesia: Curriculum Integration, Naming, Learning Outcomes, and Accreditation,” this forum became a strategic momentum to harmonize the direction of higher education development in the field of library and information-from curriculum adjustments to strengthening accreditation readiness at the national level.

A number of experts were present to give key presentations: Prof. Joner Hasugian, M.Hum. discussed LAMHUM Accreditation in the field of Library, Information, and Archival Science; Dr. Rd. Hj. Funny Mustikasari Elita, M.Si. reviewed the LAMSPAK accreditation process; Prof. Dr. Laksmi, Ph.D. presented the roadmap of the Library and Information Science curriculum in Indonesia; and Prof. Dr. Rahman Mulyawan, M.Si. presented the roadmap of the Indonesian archives curriculum.

The MUNAS included two plenary sessions. Plenary I contained APTIPI 2024-2025 reports and work programs, including submissions from the Chair and Secretary General along with participant responses. Plenary II formulated the 2025 MUNAS recommendations which included reports from commissions, memorandum of agreement, curriculum recommendations and national SLOs, as well as collaboration plans across study programs and institutions.

PSI's presence in this activity emphasizes its commitment to improving academic quality and strengthening the scientific ecosystem in the fields of library, information science, and archives. Nita Siti Mudawamah, M.IP., representing UIN Malang's PSI Study Program, said that participation in the APTIPI MUNAS is support for unifying the vision and improving the quality of higher education. She hopes that this forum will give birth to collaboration and sustainable innovation between campuses. (Niz)
