Early Preparation Activities for Odd Semester Lectures for the 2023/2024 Academic Year

Kegiatan Persiapan Awal Perkuliahan Semester Ganjil Tahun Akademik 2023/2024

FST-UIN Malang (18/8/2023) With the resumption of lecture activities for the Odd Semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year on August 28, 2023, the Faculty of Science and Technology held lecture preparation briefing activities. The activity was held in the North Auditorium 4th Floor of the Faculty of Science and Technology. Participants in this activity are mostly lecturers who teach courses within the Faculty of Science and Technology. In this event, in addition to the faculty leaders, leaders at the rectorate level were also present, namely the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Umi Sumbulah, M.Ag and the Head of the Bureau of Academic Administration, Student Affairs, and Cooperation Dr. H. Barnoto, M.Pd.I.

The activity began with a briefing related to academic policies, especially at the UIN environment and faculty level by Mr. Dr. Anton Prasetyo, M.Si. as Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and also continued by the Dean Prof. Dr. Sri Harini, M.Si. Some important points conveyed in this briefing event are related to checking student KRS by the guardian lecturer and also related to academic achievement, checking Ma'had, KKM, PKL, compulsory subjects, PKPBA, kompre, repeating subjects), implementing ICGT activities. Mr. Dr. H. Barnoto, M.Pd.I. as Head of the Bureau of Academic Administration, Student Affairs, and Cooperation on this occasion also explained the development of new students and academic-related regulations at UIN Malang. The implementation of the OBE-based curriculum (Outcame Based Education) was also discussed on this occasion by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Umi Sumbulah, M.Ag and also related to the integration of science and Islam, especially also related to MKU (University Course) subjects.

In addition to discussing about academic activities on this occasion, it was also conveyed about the satisfaction index and publications of lecturers which were accompanied by awards for outstanding lecturers with the highest publication and satisfaction index categories. It is hoped that with this briefing activity, lecturers who teach courses can prepare as well as possible regarding the lectures that will take place, especially in terms of RPS and lecture materials by adjusting the curriculum and academic regulations in UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.
