FST-UIN Malang (24/08/2024) The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) successfully carried out the Introduction of Student Culture and Academic (PBAK) 2024. The event lasted for two days, with hybrid implementation. The new study program, Engineering, carried out the activity offline on Campus 3, while participants from other FSTs followed online.

The PBAK activity was attended by the Director General of Islamic Education of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion Prof. Zainul Hamdi, M.Ag (Online) and the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology Prof. Dr. Sri Harini, M.Si and his staff. The first day of the activity was opened with remarks from the Director General of Islamic Education of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Zainul Hamdi. In his speech, Prof. Zainul conveyed the importance of new students understanding the environment and campus culture as a provision for achieving academic and non-academic success in the future. The second day, the activity continued with directions and remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology delivered at Campus 3. The Dean motivated new students to be active in academic and organizational activities on campus, and to take advantage of all available facilities.

During these two days, PBAK activities focused on introducing the atmosphere, environment, and campus culture, especially within the Faculty of Science and Technology. Some of this introduction material was delivered by the vice deans of the Faculty of Science and Technology. Material related to learning strategies was delivered by the vice dean for academic affairs Dr. Anton Prasetyo, M.Si, material on the service system and faculty facilities delivered by the vice dean for AUPK Dr. Akyunul Jannah, M.P and the introduction of SEMA FST as a forum for student organizations in the faculty delivered by the vice dean for student affairs and cooperation Dr. Dwi Suheriyanto, M.P.A It is hoped that with this PBAK activity new students can adapt quickly to the campus environment and take advantage of opportunities to develop themselves both in the academic and non-academic fields.
