FST UIN Maliki Malang - (13/03/2026) The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang officially presents a student counseling service program entitled Science and Technology Story Room. This program is a strategic step by the faculty in responding to the high academic load and pressure often experienced by students in science and technology education.

Program Science and Technology Story Room is under the coordination of the Vice Dean III for Student Affairs, Dr. Akyunul Jannah, S.Si., M.P., accompanied by the supervising lecturer, Lulu'atu Hamidatu Ulya, M.Sc. Both are committed to ensuring this service runs in a structured, sustainable manner, and provides real benefits for the psychological well-being of students.

Currently, Science and Technology Story Room has been supported by seven active counselors from various study programs within FST. The counselors act as peer counselor or peers who are ready to listen, accompany, and provide initial support for students who need a safe space to share stories and experiences.

The establishment of this program was motivated by the academic reality faced by FST students, where the high intensity of lectures, assignments, and practicums has the potential to cause pressure, both academically and personally. Through the presence of Science and Technology Story Room, The faculty strives to provide an inclusive and supportive space for students to channel their burdens, so that the learning process can take place in a healthier and more optimal manner.

As the study period of some active counselors will end, the need for regeneration is an important concern. Therefore, on Friday, March 13, 2026, exactly one month after the current semester lectures, an activity was held. meet up as an initial forum for counselor formation Science and Technology Story Room next period. This activity aims to invite students from various batches and study programs to participate in becoming part of the counselor team in the future.
