FST UIN Maliki Malang - (20/08/2025) The Faculty of Science and Technology, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang enthusiastically organized the Introduction of Academic and Student Culture (PBAK) activities in the Rectorate Hall, 5th Floor. This activity is a very important annual agenda in welcoming new students, not just ceremonial, but also an initial momentum in the process of character building, national insight, and Islam for the entire new academic community.

This activity was solemn in the Faculty of Science and Technology environment by presenting the ranks of faculty leaders, starting from the Dean, Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programs and Heads of Administration. Their presence is not just a formality, but a real symbol of the faculty's commitment in assisting new students from an early age until graduation.

In his inspiring speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Agus Mulyono, emphasized that lectures at the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang have a different orientation than higher education in general. Here, the learning process is not only directed towards intellectual achievement and mastery of science and technology, but also touches on spiritual, moral and character aspects.

He said that every student at the Faculty of Science and Technology will be guided to have spiritual depth, namely high sensitivity and understanding of Islamic values; moral majesty, which is an important foundation in forming a responsible and ethical person; breadth of knowledge, which reaches various scientific disciplines in an integrative manner; and professional maturity, as a provision in facing the challenges of the world of work and community service.

The Faculty of Science and Technology believes that the ideal higher education is not only to produce competent scholars, but also to produce complete human beings who are capable of thinking, morally strong, and have a spirit of leadership and social care. This is the spirit that continues to be maintained and inherited in the academic environment of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.

In addition to being a means of conveying the vision and mission of the faculty, this PBAK activity is also an initial space for new students to get to know the academic culture of the campus, establish relationships between fellow students, and understand their important role as part of the nation's next generation. Hopefully, through this activity, new students will be able to instill a high spirit of learning, have great curiosity, and be able to develop themselves not only in the academic field, but also in social, spiritual, and organizational aspects.

Moreover, PBAK is also a reminder that every step taken in college is part of a long process in shaping the future. Students are not only encouraged to become experts in their fields, but also challenged to be able to think critically, act wisely, and become agents of change in society.
