FST UIN Maliki Malang - (09/10/2025) The Architecture Study Program of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang again held the annual Expose 2025 activity with the destination of Semarang City, Central Java. This activity was attended by students of class 2023 and 2024, as well as the management of the Architecture Engineering Student Association (HIMATA), as part of the synergy between the association's work program and the academic agenda.
Carrying the spirit of "learning directly from the field", Expose 2025 is designed to broaden students' horizons and experiences through architectural study visits and development project exploration. This year, participants made an academic visit to the Department of Architecture at Diponegoro University (UNDIP) as well as reviewing high-rise building precedents in Semarang, including the BRI Semarang Building and Diponegoro University's Twin Tower.
During the visit, students conducted an in-depth study of various systems in tall buildings such as structure, plumbing, utilities, and construction material selection. This activity is part of the direct implementation of the Building Technology course, especially on the topic of structures and high-rise building design systems. Through this experience, students are expected to be able to link the theory that has been obtained in class with real practice in the field.
During the implementation of the activity, students were divided into 12 groups to take part in the Campus Tour session at Diponegoro University. Each group was accompanied by a UNDIP Architecture student who served as a guide, creating active interaction between students from the two campuses. Meanwhile, the head and vice head of the class attended an official academic forum with the UNDIP Department of Architecture, as a first step in establishing collaboration between institutions.
The Chairman of HIMATA said that Expose 2025 is not just a field study activity, but also a means of strengthening student solidarity and fostering professionalism and a collaborative spirit in the field of architecture. This activity is expected to bring many new insights, both from an academic and social perspective, which will enrich the overall learning experience of students. (Beautiful)
