FST UIN Maliki Malang - (04/10/2025) The Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, held a Curriculum Workshop at the 3rd Floor Meeting Room, Faculty of Science and Technology. This activity is part of an effort to improve academic quality, especially in aligning the curriculum with Outcome Based Education (OBE) standards.
The workshop took place from 08.00 to 12.00 WIB, with speakers Dr. tech. Pujo Aji, M.T., a curriculum expert from Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya. This activity was attended by all lecturers of the Civil Engineering Study Program and several student representatives.
The main focus of the workshop was the preparation and improvement of curriculum documents to be in line with the profile of graduates, learning outcomes of graduates (CPL), and the needs of the world of work and industry. OBE-based curriculum is considered important to ensure graduates have relevant and clearly measurable competencies.
The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. Evika Sandi Savitri, S.P., M.P., also attended the event. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of curriculum adaptation to the times and scientific advances. According to her, curriculum updates that are oriented to the real needs in the field will strengthen the position of graduates in facing the challenges of the world of work, while encouraging their contribution to sustainable development.
Through this activity, the Civil Engineering Study Program hopes to improve the quality of the learning process while supporting the achievement of better accreditation. This curriculum workshop is part of an ongoing commitment to maintain the relevance and quality of higher education within the faculty. (Niz)
